• Alan Moore

    Operations Manager / Superintendent, North Island

    Al joined Western’s North Vancouver Island operations as Superintendent in 2010.  Al’s waterfront experience spans roles ranging from marketing to marine operations.  He is also a member of the BC Maritime Employers Association Committees dealing with Vancouver Island issues and is a past Director of the Vancouver Transportation Club.

  • Kim Stegeman-Lowe

    Vice President Finance & Administration

    Kim joined Western Stevedoring in 2018 following Western’s purchase of Squamish Terminals, and is responsible for finance, administration, information technology, human resources, and strategic business development and partnerships.  Prior to joining Western Stevedoring Kim served as President of Squamish Terminals and held senior leadership roles since 2008.  Kim began her career in the hospitality and tourism industry and held a variety of management and instructor positions, in the areas of marketing, administration, operations and education for two major hotel chains, a consultancy firm and a post-secondary institution. Kim is active in various industry associations (BCMEA, BCMTOA, Green Marine) and community organizations both past and present. Kim is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA-CMA, 2014), a Certified Port Executive, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hospitality & Tourism Management) from Ryerson University.

  • Bruce Webster

    General Manager, Ship Operations

    Bruce joined Western’s ship operation’s team in 2010 as Superintendent and was promoted to his current position in 2013. Prior to joining the Company, he was Operation’s Manager for Seaboard International Shipping Company for 20 years. Bruce is a Master Mariner who served 20 years as a seafarer including Master of world-wide trading vessels and offshore anchor handling vessels.

  • Dave Dunbar

    Group Controller and CFO

    Dave joined Western in 1997 as Accounting Manager and was promoted to his current role in 2011.  Prior to joining Western he held a variety of senior finance positions in the resource sector and currently a Director and Treasurer on the North Vancouver Chamber of Commerce.  He also supports the Company through participation on various industry committees. Dave is a CPA - CGA (1985).  

  • Dave Lucas

    Senior Vice President

    Since joining Western in 1985, Dave has progressed through a number of key positions in Western’s Lynnterm operations and was promoted to VP Operations in 2013.  Dave is actively involved in representing Western and the terminal operators on the North Shore Waterfront Liaison Committee and on a number of industry committees within the BC Maritime Employers Association. Throughout his career he has completed executive management and industry related programs including the Transportation Management Diploma Program with the BC Institute of Technology which was foundational to his waterfront career.

  • Miles Hollingbury

    Director Marketing and Business Development

    Miles joined Western in 2012 as a Superintendent following an extensive marine career as master mariner, supercargo, port captain, stevedore superintendent, general manager marine facilities and business owner.  He was promoted to his current role in 2014 where he utilizes his extensive marine knowledge to further promote and develop company operations.

  • Scott Brown

    Maintenance Manager

    Scott joined Western in 1982 and was promoted to his current role in 2011.  During his tenure, Scott has played a key role in the oversight, maintenance & replacement of terminal facilities & equipment.  He participates on the Health & Safety Management Team and works with external stakeholders on environmental initiatives.

  • Roger Dias

    Director of Information Technology

    Roger was promoted to his current position in 2018 and currently oversees the technology infrastructure, software development and support services for the company. Since joining the Company in 1987, Roger has held a variety of roles including Senior Systems Analyst and software development team lead.  Roger holds a Diploma of Technology in Computer Systems from the BC Institute of Technology and obtained his Red Hat Certified Engineer accreditation in 2002.

  • Jeanette O’Brien

    Director, Human Resources, Administration & Community Relations
    Jeanette was promoted to her current position in 2014 following a career with the Company that began in 1982.  She has participated on industry and municipal committees in support of both business and community interests, she is a past Director of the North Vancouver Chamber of Commerce and holds a Bachelor of Technology in Management Degree from the BC Institute of Technology and is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources.  
  • Brad Eshleman


    Brad was promoted to President in 2011 after serving as Vice President, Finance & Administration since 1992.  Brad is a CA with a Commerce degree from the University of BC and an alumni of KPMG. He is active in various industry and government associations including serving as a Director and on the Executive Committee of the BC Maritime Employers Association, Chair of the BC Marine Terminal Operators Association, Vice Chair of the Greater Vancouver Gateway Council, Director of the Western Transportation Advisory Council and Chair of the BC Ports Competitiveness Committee.

  • Tim Meyer

    Assistant Manager, Terminal Operations

    Tim assumed his current position in 2013 after holding numerous operations positions in both the ship and dock operations divisions since joining the company in 1988. Tim has completed a variety of industry operation and  management courses at BC Institute of Technology and the Sauder School of Business.  

  • John Briant

    General Manager, Victoria

    John joined Western as Superintendent on Vancouver Island in 2005 following an extensive marine operations career including Master Mariner experience operating a variety of ocean going vessels.  He assumed the role of General Manager of the Ogden Point facility in 2011and is responsible for the company’s cruise and stevedoring operations in Victoria.  

  • Kelly Williams

    Vice President, Terminals and Stevedoring

    Kelly joined Western in October 2017 as Vice President. Prior to joining Western, Kelly worked in excess of 20 years with two major dry bulk shipowners in various locations around the globe including Asia, South America, Europe and North America. His most recent positions were the global Head of Open Hatch Division for d’Amico Dry Limited based in Monaco and General Manager for Gearbulk Shipping’s West Coast North America activities based in Vancouver.

  • Ian Patterson


    Ian Patterson joined Western Stevedoring in 2014 as a Superintendent. Prior to starting at Western Ian came to us with over 30 years in the industry. He has worked on all facets of the marine industry, from an agent to supercargo working at ports throughout the West Coast North America. His experience also includes over a decade of experience working as a superintendent/manager at a deep sea multipurpose terminal handling everything from grain products, project and steel cargoes as well as containers.

  • Scott Marshall

    Manager, Woodpulp and Lumber

    Scott leads the customer service team in the wood pulp and lumber sectors.  He has enjoyed a successful history since joining the company in 1990 and was promoted to his current role in 2015. Scott is a graduate of the BC Institute of Technology’s Transportation and Logistics program as well as the Pacific Marine Institute Transportation Program.  

  • Ross Thompson

    Manager, Steel and General Cargo

    Ross joined the Company in 1987 and has held his current position since 2015.  During his time with the company, Ross has fulfilled a variety of logistics roles and has played an integral part in the development and management of Western’s steel business.  Ross has completed executive management and industry related development programs and attained an  Operations Management Diploma from the BC Institute of Technology.

  • John Crique

    Manager, Health & Safety, Quality & Environment

    John was promoted to his current role in 2014 after holding the position of Safety Specialist for the Company.  John’s holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Phoenix and a Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety from the University of New Brunswick.  His prior experience includes working in commercial and industrial construction, risk management and insurance.

  • Russ Peters

    General Manager, Lynnterm & Squamish Terminals

    Russ’ waterfront career spans more than 43 years and includes 40 years working with Seaboard International Shipping in a variety of roles including ship/dock superintendent and terminal manager. Russ joined the Western team  in 2013 as Terminal Manager, Lynnterm.

  • Marsha Bean

    Accounting Manager

    Marsha was promoted to Accounting Manager in 2011.  She has held a number of accounting roles since joining Western in 1981, primarily in support of Lynnterm operations. Marsha is a CPA,CGA (1984)
